The WNU
Story

Inspired by men’s tailoring, British heritage and timeless style, WNU was started in 2017 out of our founder’s personal search for shirts that were perfectly adjusted for women, sustainably sourced and stood the test of time.

Launched from her home city of London, today the brand has grown to encompass an array of wardrobe essentials, from shirts to tailored trousers, that are never led by trends or fleeting style moments, designed to be forever items in which to live a life.

WNU is all about simplicity - pared back, laid back, timeless, effortless clothing - just like the women who wear them and the icons that inspired them; Carolyn Bessette, Jane Birkin and Charlotte Rampling.

From the very start, we made a promise to ensure the shirts we create are truly as good for the planet as they can be. WNU is still a small brand, but we are aiming to
lead the way for a more sustainable fashion system. From the materials we source to the fully audited factories we use and the way we encourage our customers to shop mindfully, every step is considered.

We’re proud to say that WNU became officially B Corp certified in 2022 and we continue to strive to not just produce in the most sustainable ways, but also promote a more ethical approach to shopping, with every item designed to be a timeless
wardrobe staple.
